The Department of Marine Resources is implementing emergency conservation closures on Sunday to conserve scallop resources.
The following areas will be closed for conservation: St. Croix River, Upper Blue Hill Bay/Union River RA, West Lower Jericho Bay and Upper Damariscotta River.
The Department of Marine resources says that continual harvest of scallops in this area will reduce the regrowth and recovery of them.
