12 arrested in large-scale drug bust in Aroostook County

Eleven Mainers and one Massachusetts resident were arrested after months of investigation into drug trafficking.

UPDATE 5/24 1 a.m. – Three additional arrests were made by drug agents Wednesday, according to Maine's Public Safety spokesperson.

Amber Shaw, 30, and Josh Easler, 29, both of Presque Isle, were arrested overnight by — Shaw in Presque Isle by local police and Easler in Caribou by local and state police. The MDEA assisted.

Shaw was charged with selling meth and released on bail. Easler was charged with selling heroin and taken to Aroostook County Jail where he's being held.

Bangor police later arrested 41-year-old Fernando Vazquez of Springfield, Massachusetts, and charged him with selling crack cocaine.

AROOSTOOK COUNTY (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Nine Mainers are behind bars for allegedly selling drugs in Aroostook County.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents arrested them after a lengthy investigation that began at the end of 2017.

  1. Lucas Wynn, 31, of Presque Isle charged with trafficking methamphetamine (posted bail)
  2. Kurt Doody, 22, of Caribou charged with trafficking fentanyl (remains in jail)
  3. Autumn Parady, 20, of Gardiner (previously of Caribou) charged with trafficking fentanyl (posted bail)
  4. Scott Pelletier 28, of Limestone charged with trafficking heroin (posted bail)
  5. Tyler Cyr, 31, of Caribou charged with trafficking methamphetamine (posted bail)
  6. George Tamberello, 31, of Caribou charged with trafficking crack cocaine (posted bail)
  7. Brian Cyr, 36, of Caribou charged with trafficking crack cocaine (posted bail)
  8. Chris Tuttle, 30, of Presque Isle charged with trafficking heroin (posted bail)
  9. Nicholas Hall, 33, of Presque Isle charged with trafficking heroin (remains in jail)

Officials say the investigation leading to the arrests involved surveillance, interviews and undercover drug purchases.

Police are still looking for Amber Shaw, 30, and Josh Easler, 29, of Presque Isle, and Fernando Vazquez, 41, of Springfield, Mass. as part of their investigation.

Police say all the offenses carry a maximum penalty of ten years in state prison, all being class B crimes.
