SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Police rushed to a South Portland restaurant Saturday morning after an SUV crashed into the building.
The silver vehicle smashed into the Amato's on Broadway around 10 am, leaving a hole in the front entrance. Investigators say the driver accidentally hit the gas while parking. No one in the building or the car was hurt.
Engineers are now looking over the building to see if it's structurally sound.
