Kevin Mannix has been a part of the NEWS CENTER weather team since 1989. He is the weather forecaster for NEWS CENTER's Morning Report, Maine's most-watched morning news program, televised statewide on WCSH 6, Portland and WLBZ 2, Bangor. Kevin is a graduate of Northeastern University. Prior to his start at NEWS CENTER, Kevin was the weather forecaster at WAGM in Presque Isle. He also worked in Phoenix, Arizona, and Worcester, Massachusetts. Kevin's favorite aspect of his job here is telling viewers how he arrived at the day's forecast. Kevin says, "I say when I'm sure, and I say when I'm not sure. Viewers I meet say they like that honesty." When asked how he got into television, he replies, "My dad was a broadcaster. I guess it's in the genes!"
Kevin enjoys jogging, movies, and travel. He's also a big Red Sox and Patriots fan! He is very proud of his involvement with Coats for Kids and the Waban Telethon each spring in Sanford, Maine. Kevin has two sons.
