Ski's Shrimp Run is Superbowl of Scootering in Maine

Topsham, ME (NEWS CENTER-- Scooters have been around since the end of World War II. In Maine, there is a growing group of scooter afficianados. On July 26, they will ride from Brunswick to Richmond in what's known as Ski's Shrimp Run,

"My dad always talked about starting his own scooter run modeled after the Stony Lobster Run for motorcycles" said Andrew Biedrzycki. His father who is an ardent motorcyclist has teased his scooter riding sons.

Scooter riders are good-natured and that is appropriate as their vehicles get more than 100 miles on a gallon of gas. Vespa and Honda make the two most popular models of scooters. Vespa is an iconic name, dating back to 1943.

Anyone with any model of scooter is invited to this year's "Ski's Shrimp Run." For more information, click on this link.
