(NEWS CENTER) -- Getting your kids to eat healthy can be tough at home.. but at school.. that can be a whole different ball game.
health coach Christina Neuner was tells us how to "makeover" your kids lunches.
There are three things you can do:
1. Plan Ahead
2. Be the Parent, don't let kids run the show, but....
3. Get them involved!
And with those tips, you can keep things simple:
1. Start with a small swap. Trade out one processed food and replace it with one healthy option.
2. Good, better, best.
For example, things like fruit gummies are loaded with sugar, a better option is a fruit roll up, which has less sugar. The best option is a real fruit leather.
