DAN DENDANTO'S WHALE EXHIBIT AT ICA/MECA

Created by Dan DenDanto who has been cleaning, articulating and restoring whale skeletons professionally since 1993. He strives to create dynamic exhibits which convey more about the animals' lives than their deaths. Dan's knowledge of whale anatomy and extensive experience in the field contribute to his extraordinary ability to accurately display the remains of these magnificent creatures. Dan currently directs The North Atlantic Fin Whale Catalogue while pursuing studies in fin whale population genetics and demographic ecology. Dan's research focuses on life history data, including photographic-identification, genetic, and sightings information to investigate interactions between individual fin whales in the Northern Gulf of Maine.
