14-year old Kayla Veilleux's cancer was diagnosed more than a decade ago, but it's been in remission thanks to rounds of chemo and radiation. Earlier this year, doctors discovered that the radiation had destroyed blood cells in her bone marrow. Kayla has Aplastic Anemia, a rare condition where bone marrow stops making enough red blood cells. A bone marrow transplant will replace the abnormal cells with healthy ones.
