Bring on summer, baby! I go in all seasons and all weather, but I gotta admit this is kind of nice. How about another hour of daylight? Part one this week involves the Windjammer Fleet. A couple of times a year they "gam up." That's a get together where they all tie up together and go from boat to boat for one big party. Col. David Hunt was a hoot. I got a brother who retired as a Colonel with a whole chest full of medals. I find him inspirational, but since he's my brother, I always wonder if he indeed has the whole world order entirely figured out, as he implies. I feel the same way about David. I do like military people. I like the discipline, the patriotism and the intensity. I don't think they waste a lot of time. That's good. David Hunt has lived a very interesting life and I hope we've shown that there's a person with heart behind the uniform.

Tate House is one of those places that few go to even though it's right there. It is very much worth the trip. The story of George Tate is a fascinating one and a great way to learn about the Revolution.
