As a kid growing up in Jackman, retired game warden Roger Guay had a less-than-legal relationship with poaching.

With the help of author Kate Clark Flora, Guay tells stories like that in his book "A Good Man With A Dog."

Guay spent 25 years in the Warden Service. He was moved to join by his love of the outdoors and by the kindness shown to him by a warden after his father's death in a fishing accident.

He spent much of that time working with dogs, tracking people and helping people. After Hurricane Katrina he went to Louisiana to help look for bodies in the wreckage there.

The experience scarred him.

Part of Guay's message in the book is that law enforcement professionals are susceptible to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and that it will change your life, but you'll be OK.
