Melissa Kim joined the NEWS CENTER team as a Multimedia Journalist in March 2010.

Before moving to Maine, Melissa worked behind the scenes at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, MD. She was also a freelance sports reporter at the News 12 Networks in New York City and New Jersey, a researcher/writer for NBC Sports at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a news producer at News 12 The Bronx. During her college years, Melissa interned at ESPN/ABC Sports, Monday Night Football and Fox Baltimore.

Melissa was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Political Science and speaks Korean, German and Spanish. She is absolutely thrilled to be living in Maine, where she hopes to spend plenty of time outdoors - running, surfing, snowboarding, going to lots of baseball games and exploring New England.
