Whole Foods Market Double Green Smoothie
Try this surprise smoothie for an on-the-go breakfast that's packed with the nutrients of hearty greens but tastes like a perfect blend of fruit.
1 1/2 cups unsweetened non-dairy beverage, such as almond, rice or soy
2 dried apricots or 4 pitted dates
1 banana, preferably frozen
1 cup chopped kale leaves
1 cup spinach leaves
1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries
Combine non-dairy beverage, apricots or dates, banana, kale, spinach and berries in a blender and blend until smooth.
Whole Foods Market Get Your Greens On! Smoothie
Who knew it could be so easy and delicious to incorporate greens into your morning routine?
1 ½ cups unsweetened almondmilk, soymilk, ricemilk or hempmilk
1 frozen banana
1 ½ cups packed baby spinach
1 ½ cups frozen cherries or berries
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
Whole Foods Market Strawberry Almond Smoothie
Looking for a sweet, refreshing snack or breakfast? Try this creamy smoothie.
8 ounces fresh or frozen strawberries*
1 cup chilled unsweetened soymilk or almondmilk
2 tablespoons smooth almond butter
Add berries, soymilk and almond butter and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
*If you use fresh berries, add 4 ice cubes to make the smoothie icy cold!
Whole Foods Market Mixed Fruit Smoothie
Use any favorite fruits such as peaches, raspberries or bananas to make this creamy smoothie.
1/2 cup pure apple or berry juice
1/2 cup unsweetened almondmilk, or other non-dairy beverage
1/2 cup fresh or frozen (not thawed) blueberries
1/2 cup fresh or frozen (not thawed) strawberries
3 ice cubes (only if using fresh fruit)
Put all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
Whole Foods Market Carrot-Mango-Pineapple Smoothie
This recipe requires a juicer to make the carrot juice prior to making the smoothie.
10 - 12 ounces freshly made carrot juice (if a juicer is not available, then bottled)
4 ounces frozen pineapple chunks
4 ounces frozen mango chunks
Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
