BREWER, ME (NEWS CENTER) -- Walkers, runners, cyclist and motorcycle riders all joined together in the second annual champion the cure challenge.
More than 500 people participated in the fundraiser and more than 100 people volunteered to help during the event. By the afternoon on Saturday organizers said they raised more than $200,000. All the money raised will stay in the local community of Brewer, while the donations will be given to the cancer care of Maine in the Lafayette cancer center.
