BREWER, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or ICE are executing a search warrant at a home on Elm street in Brewer, according to a Brewer police officer on scene.   Several ICE vehicles and Brewer Police cars were parked outside the home Wednesday morning.

ICE agents could also be seen coming in and out of the  Super China Buffett in Waterville, and at the Twin Super Buffet in Brewer.  A sign on the both doors said they were closed.  Agents in Waterville escorted three workers in handcuffs out of Super China Buffet.

Agents were also at a home on Bridge Street in Westbrook.  They were seen talking to one of the tenants there.  In Portland, Kon Asian Bistro was closed Wednesday, as ICE agents walked through.

A short time later, ICE agents were seen removing evidence from New China Super Buffet in the Lewiston Mall.

NEWS CENTER contacted the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Boston, who referred us to the Assistant U.S. Attorney, Don Clark.  Clark tells us no information will be released for a while.

In the meantime, we've learned each of the restaurants is owned by a different LLC.  At this point we don't know if any of the restaurants are connected.  We'll continue to update this story as more information becomes available to us.

We'll bring you more information as it becomes available.
