CHICAGO, Illinois (WMAQ) - Sculpture made completely out of bicycle components is on display in Chicago.
46 artists were commissioned to come up with pieces to raise money for World Bicycle Relief, the non-profit arm of Sram Corporation, a Chicago company that makes high-end bike parts.
After the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, company owners were inspired to provide thousands of bikes to victims left with nothing.
They've since expanded into areas in Africa.
The bike "Parts Project" event in Chicago was a great success, raising nearly $100,000.
That's enough to send almost 750 bikes to africa.
One sculpture alone brought in $10,000.
