FALMOUTH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- This is the time of year when people try to set new goals, like to stop biting their fingernails, or finally clean out the basement. Losing weight is typically high on the list of resolutions as well.
Search results on Yahoo! prove it. Searches for weight loss plans are up 12,749%. But Megan Vietor didn't wait for January 1 to come around to get fit. She's been working with a personal trainer for three months. Keeping motivated is simple for her; she loves how she feels, and she doesn't want to look back.
"I don't weigh myself, I don't measure myself," Vietor said. "I can tell when my clothes feel better. It's more a matter of, I think, mental attitude and toughness, and just being sharp."
Vietor's trainer, Devon Bernier, advises people to set small, more attainable goals that you can stick to so you can keep that gym membership for the whole year, and not be a drop out by February.
