(NEWS CENTER) -- Two Republican candidates are competing for the chance to challenge Rep Mike Michaud for Maine's second district congressional seat.

Kevin Raye of Perry is the president of the Maine Senate, a former aide to Sen. Olympia Snowe and the owner of a longtime family business, Raye's Mustard mill in Eastport.

Blaine Richardson of Belfast is a retired Navy veteran of 30 years, worked in a family greenhouse business and started a construction company, and served as code enforcement officer in Rockport.

In the first segment, NEWS CENTER's Pat Callaghan asks the candidates questions. In the second segment, he is joined by Nick Sambides, a political reporter from our media partners at the Bangor Daily News.
