ALBANY, Oregon (NEWS CENTER) -- Police in Oregon say the woman found wandering east of Albany on May 15 has been identified as 67-year-old Marcia Lee Rackley from Norfolk, Virginia.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says Rackley arrived in Oregon last month after purchasing a bus ticket in Chicago, Illinois.

Police say a nurse manager at a Chicago area hospital recognized Rackley as being a patient in the emergency department back in April after seeing media reports about her being missing.

During the course of her treatment at the hospital, staff located her photo identification and insurance cards identifying her as Marcia Rackley.

Police say Rackley suffers from severe mental illness and often travels without any form of identification when she is not on her medication.

She has been hospitalized for treatment of her mental illness in Maine, New York, Florida, and at one point Canada.
