BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police have identified the victim who died after being hit by a car on Main Street late Saturday night.
The State of Maine Medical Examiner's office has identified 37 year old Joshua Constantine, of Bangor, as the victim of that hit and run accident. Investigators say the man was walking when he was hit by the car at the intersection of Main and Patten streets sometime after 10 p.m. Although toxicology test results will not be available for some time, police are saying that Constantine's manner of death was blunt force trauma.
According to Bangor Police Sargeant, Paul Edwards, the female suspect believed to have been driving the car at the time of the hit and run is being cooperative, and the vehicle she was driving is in police custody. Charges have not yet been filed against her.
