LITCHFIELD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A fugitive from Kansas has been found hiding out here in Maine.
John Layton, 48, faces 30 years in prison on several drug-related charges, including manufacturing meth.
The Kennebec County Sheriff's office was tipped-off that Layton was staying at a camp in Litchfield.
Two deputies and a police dog were sent there to arrest him on Monday night. As soon as they showed up, Layton surrendered without a fight.
He is being held without bail at Kennebec County Jail until arrangements can be made to send him back to Kansas to face the charges against him.
