NAPLES, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A man from Bridgton will likely face charges after he gets out of the hospital after leading police on a chase.
Officials say the saw a Dodge Magnum operating erratically on Roosevelt Trail in Naples Saturday afternoon
Police say they tried to stop him as he pulled onto Lake Shore Road.
He slowed at first... But then sped up to 80 miles an hour... And then crashed into a telephone pole after less than a mile.
The driver, John Allen of Bridgton, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.
A passenger was taken to Bridgton Hospital for a foot injury.
Police are reconstructing the accident and say they'll press charges as warranted.
