Temperatures remained below normal for most towns today, but we still got to enjoy quite a bit of sunshine for Father's Day. Once again a sea breeze held temperatures back significantly along the coast. Portland had a high temperature of 65 degrees which is almost ten degrees cooler than the normal high temp. A significant warm up is on the way for Wednesday and Thursday. Along with the heat we will be experiencing humid conditions. Sunny skies will continue through much of the week. Next chance of some showers or storms will be late Thursday as a cold front passes through.
Tonight - Clear start to the night. Skies will become partly cloudy before morning and some areas of fog will develop. Overnight lows will be in the 40s for inland locations. Around 50 degrees at the coast.
Monday - Some clouds and fog will be hanging around during the early morning hours, but they will give way to another beautiful sunny day. High temperatures will be coolest again at the coast. Topping out in the mid 60s. Inland locations should warm to around 70.
Monday Night - Partly cloudy skies with areas of fog. Lows around 50 degrees.
Extended Forecast - Temperatures will return to seasonable conditions on Tuesday with a nice mix of sun and clouds. Get ready for the heat and humidity! We welcome the first day of Summer Wednesday with highs in the 80s and 90s. Things will get a little warmer and be just as humid on Thursday. A cold front will start to approach late in the day and that could touch off some showers and thunderstorms. Friday looks to be a little cooler and much more comfortable. Our weather pattern remains quiet and seasonable for next weekend.
