Well folks, this has been a T.G.A.C. kind of day (thank goodness for air conditioning!) West winds have been steering some hot and sticky air into the Pine Tree State, and as we head into the evening hours most of Maine has reached at least the 90 degree mark. Even the usual cooler coastal communities are seeing 80s and 90s on their thermometers.
Tomorrow expect more of the same, although a weak frontal boundary will push the warmest air to southern Maine. Even so, most of Eastern Maine will top-out well into the 80s. Scattered showers and thundershowers can't be ruled out, especially in the afternoon.
It appears a frontal boundary moving through on Friday will bring increasing clouds, with showers and thundershowers fairly widespread across Maine later in the day on Friday. Saturday will feature cooler conditions, with more in the way of sunshine expected for Sunday.
