BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Governor LePage encourages students at Penobscot Job Corps to overcome domestic violence and continue their education.
Officials with Spruce Run, a domestic violence prevention agency, say that there is a high rate of domestic violence among young adults. Crime statistics show that domestic violence is up four percent in Maine.
Teachers at the Job Corps say LePage's remarks were encouraging for many of the students.
