LIVERMORE FALLS, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A local daycare helped raise money for a children's hospital Saturday as part of a nationwide fundraiser.

The fifth annual trike-a-thon for Saint Jude's took place at Alice's Wonderland in Livermore Falls.
Kids up to five years old ride around on bicycles and learn about bike safety... While raising money.
There was a silent auction, with donations from many local small businesses -- and a yard sale.
Organizers say the event makes a big impact.

"To them it teaches them about community and having these events and coming together," explains Alice Englehardt, owner of Alice's Wonderland Child Care, "For them according to their age they understand what's going on and we're doing this for a good reason."

Trike-A-Thon is a weeklong event hosted at daycares across the country that helps raise money for St. Jude's Children Hospital in Tennessee.
