BUCKSPORT, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- The Rite Aid pharmacy in Bucksport was robbed around 2:45 Tuesday afternoon according to Bucksport Police.
Bucksport Chief of Police Sean Geagan said a male suspect gave a pharmacist a note demanding Oxycontin. Geagan said the suspect fled on foot and a State Police K-9 unit found a location in Bucksport where they were able to collect more evidence.
Geagan said the suspect did not have a weapon when he was in the Rite Aid and that there is a chance the suspect could rob another store before he is caught.
"I think we're always worried about that cause it's obvious to us that anyone who performs an act like this obviously isn't in the right mind when they do this. So the potential for this happening again is always good," Geagan said.
Geagan said the suspect is a male about 5 feet 9 inches tall and was wearing all camouflage when he robbed the Rite Aid. If anyone has any information they can call Bucksport Police at 207-469-7951.
