Maj. Gregg Sanborn, Maine Warden Service

(NEWS CENTER) -- Maj. Gregg Sanborn of the Maine Warden Service is just one of the thousands of people in need of a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. The National Marrow Program's "Be a Match" registry found a match for Sanborn. He will now head to Dana Farber in Boston for cancer treatment.

Sanborn's story inspired more than 700 people in Maine and New Hampshire to add their names to the list of potential donors. Joining the registry is a simple process. Just go to the registry's website and join. You will be sent a registration kit complete with instructions on how to swab your cheek to take a sample.
