Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Gas prices nationwide have been steadily falling, and in Maine, it's as cheap as 3.19 a gallon.

That's 18 cents cheaper than the national average. According to Triple A, the cheaper prices could mean a record number of travelers this 4th of July. The cheaper gas is helping people from out of state make the most of their time visiting Maine this summer.

On average, gas is about 18 cents cheaper than it was this time last year.
