CROSS LAKE TOWNSHIP, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A complaint about gun fire lead to an underage drinking arrest in the Northern Maine township of Cross Lake.

State Police were called to Cyr Road this weekend after a driver reported that he heard people firing at his car.

Trooper Rob Flynn investigated and found two 17 year olds. Trooper Flynn says they confessed to shooting into the air but denied firing at any cars.

They were summonsed for reckless conduct and their parents took them home.

Nearby, Trooper Flynn found a campsite where several underage people were drinking.

20 year old Peter Smith is now facing charges of providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.

Police called in parents for all those involved.
