HOULTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A 24-year veteran of the Maine state police is on administrative leave for allegedly driving under the influence.
Police say Sergeant Julie Bergan was issued a summons when she failed field sobriety and blood-alcohol tests after reporting to work Thursday at the Houlton barracks.
Her blood-alcohol level has not been made public.
Bergan is on leave until an internal investigation is completed.
