ORNEVILLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- State Police say one man was shot after an altercation broke out Friday around 5:00 p.m. on McCorrison Rd. in Orneville.
Police say 64-year-old Richard Bennett from Atkinson and 54-year-old Blaine Leveille from Orneville had a fight during which Leveille suffered a gunshot wound. He was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where he remains.
State Police detectives are continuing their investigation and are conducting interviews. Police say they are continuing to monitor Leveille's condition and hope to get his account of what happened.
