GRAY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Whether it's the weather or the new exhibits... The Maine Wildlife Park in Gray is happy to see a 20 percent increase in attendance this year.
The state run wildlife park is home to 30 different species; a home for animals that otherwise wouldn't survive in the wild. Some of the animals are brought to the park when found injured or orphaned. You can see bald eagles, black bears, bobcats, and moose up close.
Officials at the park say more than 45,000 people have visited this year, up quite a bit from last year.
New to the park this year is a mountain lion exhibit.
