BAR HARBOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER)--Market prices for lobster are low and one town in Maine is trying to increase the demand by selling the catch to cruise ships, all in hopes it will bring more money into fishermens wallets.
Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound will now start selling lobsters to cruise ships as they visit Bar Harbor. The goal is to create more demand for the lobsters but not everyone supports the move.
The general manger at Beals and Sons, a lobster dealer in Southwest Harbor says the plan will under cut local business owners.
