Four-car pileup sends three people to hospital

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a four-vehicle crash on the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester, N.H., has sent several people to the hospital.

Police say one of the drivers has suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in Maine.

Police said the accident happened at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday when a car headed north on the turnpike crossed the center line near Exit 15 and hit an oncoming pickup truck. The driver of the first car then slid into a third car and spun 180 degrees, hitting a Jeep.

Police said the driver of the third car, Karen Fare, 34, of Manchester, N.H., suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver of the first car, Xiaowei Wang, 39, of Portsmouth, N.H., also was sent to Maine for treatment.

A third victim, Erika Otte, 21, is being treated for serious injuries at a hospital in Rochester, N.H.  She was a passenger in an SUV driven by Eli Moryoussef, 34, of Kittery.
