Update 12:00 PM... the woman has been freed...
HOWLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER ) -- A woman is trapped inside her car at a rotary in Howland because a construction crane knocked some power lines down onto her car as she was driving through the rotary. The incident happened at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning. Cianbro is the contractor on the project and the crane bears the name Cianbro. Our reporter on scene says the woman does not appear to be injured, but she is being kept inside her car until authorities can determine the power lines are not live. Bangor Hydro sent out a news release stating that the accident has knocked out power to 1104 customers. The estimated time for power to be restored is at about 3:00 p.m. We will have details as they become available.
