The 196 year old publication - which is put together in Lewiston - never shies away from making bold predictions.
This year, The Farmer's Almanac calls for a cold and snowy winter from the Great Lakes to northern New England.
For those hoping for a mild winter, the almanac suggests you move west of the Great Lakes for the season.
