DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine (NEWS CENTER)--Wendy Farley of Brownville was arrested by police and charged with criminal solicitation for murder. She allegedly asked someone to have her husband killed.
She appeared before a judge in Piscataquis County. Court documents state that the man Farley approached asked her what would be accomplished if her husband was murdered and Farley replied "He's out. He is gone. I'm free. The kids can grow up unafraid to be kids."
Officers say they have no record of abuse in the Farley home. Friends say they had no idea anything was wrong.
Farley has been married for 30 years. If convicted she could see up to 30 years behind bars.
Farley is being held on ten thousand dollars cash bail. She is not allowed contact with her husband and she can not have unsupervised visits from her children under the age of 18.
