SKOWHEGAN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- A Detroit man will serve the next 30 years in prison for killing his father.
A judge handed down that sentence on Wednesday for Angelo Licata in Somerset County Superior Court. He pleaded guilty to beating his father Alfred Licata to death inside his Cambridge home in July of 2011.
Investigatros found Alfred Licata's body on the lawn of his home. He died after taking massive hits to his head.
Attorneys for Angleo Licata claimed their client suffers from mental illness and attacked his father after suffering years of abuse.
