PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A Maine man convicted of making and distributing child pornography involving an infant has been sentenced to more than 28 years in federal prison.
Federal prosecutors say 32-year-old Royce Breton produced the pornography and distributed it via an online messenger service. More than 300 images of child pornography were later found on a computer in his home.
Breton, who was convicted in May, was sentenced Friday to 340 months in prison and 15 years of probation for production, distribution and possession of child pornography.
The investigation was conducted by the Sanford and Lewiston police departments, Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit, U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Justice Criminal Division.
