(NEWS CENTER) -- The national non-partison Tax Foundation recently came out with its annual ranking of the tax climate in each of the fifty states, and Maine jumped from 37th last year to 30th this year.

The foundation based its ranking on several criteria, including corporate taxes, individual income taxes, sales taxes and property taxes.

Governor Paul LePage welcomes the news and say he'd like to boost that rating even more, by dropping Maine's corporate income tax altogether.

Is that a good idea?  We talk with NEWS CENTER political analysts Phil Harriman and Ethan Strimling about that and other news of the week.
