After a quiet (but brisk!) Wednesday, we've got some changes heading our way for tonight. Here's the deal: low pressure tracking our way from the mid-atlantic will eventually slide by to our south and east. As it approaches tonight some areas of snow, sleet and freezing rain will move into our neighborhoods, making for some slick streets. A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for tonight through mid-day tomorrow, not because we are anticipating a lot of snow; the Winter Weather Advisory has been posted because of anticipating some slick traveling conditions. Look for 1-4" of snow in the Dover-Foxcroft, Millinocket area and points north, with less accumulation due to more significant mixing in the Bangor area, with rain keeping accumulation to near nil along the coast. Winds will be gusting to over 25 mph tonight and Thursday, with gusts over 30 mph from time-to-time.
The low will be off to our east by Friday, so look for a brighter sky developing as we journey through the day. The weekend looks quiet, with a fair amount of sunshine expected both Saturday and Sunday.
