Early morning crash in Alton leaves one dead

ALTON, Maine  (NEWS CENTER) - One person is dead and another critically injured following a single car crash on the interstate.

State Police say that 24-year-old, Jesi Rai Burleigh of Lincoln died after loosing control of her car. Police say she was driving in foggy conditions and hit black ice causing the SUV to hit a tree.  

Burleigh's boyfriend, 38-year-old Anthony Dupuis,  was rushed to Eastern Maine Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

Authorities say this should serve as a reminder that at this time of year, road conditions can change quickly.
