FALMOUTH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The community celebrated the life of a much-loved teacher Saturday.
Kevin Grover died suddenly at the age of forty on Thanksgiving Day. He was a second grade teacher who won the Teacher of the Year award in 2010. Saturday, teachers, students, friends and family gathered to remember a man who inspired so many. Former student Maddie Tierney says she is lucky to have experienced being in Grover's classroom.
"You feel for the students who lost their hero, and who won't get to experience everything he could do," Tierney said. "That just breaks your heart."
A fund has been set up to support Kevin Grover's family. You can donate to the Grover Family Fund at any TD Bank. You can also donate online at http://www.gofundme.com/The-Grover-Family-Fund
