Wasn't it just last week we were talking about temperatures well below average? Seems like a distant memory now, with highs today well into the 40s, with raindrops in the forecast instead of snowflakes.
Our temperatures will dip to just below freezing tonight, so be on the lookout for some patchy black ice tonight and early tomorrow morning. I do think Tuesday will feature a decent amount of sunshine through mid-day, then clouds will thicken. A frontal boundary will bring a round of rain into Maine Tuesday night, with rain expected Wednesday morning before the sky brightens in the afternoon as the front slides to our east.
In the wake of that front look for quiet conditions through Thurday and Friday, with temperatures dropping to around normal.
