PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- For some people in Portland, getting a last-minute ride out of town on Saturday paid off in a big way.
Santa arrived at the Portland Transportation Center with several crisp one hundred dollar bills. Just by sitting or standing in line made these would-be passengers a little richer.
One of Santa's little helpers tells NEWS CENTER that the big guy loves to make the unannounced visit each year in hopes of helping those in need during the holidays.
This is the fourth Christmas that Santa has passed out benjamins to unsuspecting travelers at the Transportation Center.
