It's been a quiet, bright and brisk day across the Pine Tree State, with temperature only topping-out in the teens in northern counties, with highs closer to 30 near the coast.

Low pressure eventually tracking to our south tomorrow will bring us some cloud cover with a chance of some snow showers near the coast, especially during the morning and mid-day hours. High pressure will take control of our weather pattern Tuesday night into Wednesday, so expect a clearing sky and plenty of sunshine expected on Wednesday.

Changes are ahead for Thursday, as an area of low pressure tracknig into the Gulf of Maine will bring us a round of snow and rain Wednesday night and into most of Thursday. It appears much of the precipitation will fall in the form of snow inland, with a mix of rain and snow near the coast.  There is potential for several inches of accumulating snow on Thursday, so traveling will not be a lot of fun.

Conditions will improve during the day Friday, with a quiet Saturday expected.
