WEST PARIS, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Lately, we've been hearing stories from all over the country about people doing kind things for others.
In Oxford County, the owners of the Inn at Pinnacle Mountain are paying it forward in their own way. They held a celebration to say thank you to first responders for the sacrifices they make to keep us safe. Owner John Lemmon spent forty-two years in emergency services before moving to Maine to open the inn.
"We're usually meeting them in times when there's a lot of stress and a lot of trauma and a lot of things going on," Lemmon said. "The whole purpose of this party is so that they can all come together and have a good afternoon without worrying about the motor vehicle accident, the fire, the entrapment. We want to give something back to them for all they give to us."
All of the first responders from Oxford County were invited to the celebration.
