After our recent stretch of balmy temperatures, we have some big changes coming tonight! North to northwest winds will steer some of the coldest air of our young winter season into our neighborhoods, with much of Maine dropping to sub-zero levels tonight.
Plenty of sunshine expected for Friday, but our high temperatures will have a hard time getting out of the single numbers. Milder air will return for the weekend, with a chance of some periods of light snow and snow showers as a warm front along with an area of low pressure influences our weather pattern Saturday and Sunday.
We will dive back into cold temperatures and sunshine for Martin Luther King day on Monday.
*By the way, most of Northern Maine is under a Wind Chill Advisory for tonight, with wind chills between 20 to 30 below possible north of Dover Foxcroft.
