Nice to have the sun shining today, but it wasn't much help warming things up today! Northwest breezes continues to steer the coldest air of the season into our neighborhoods, with lows this morning well below zero along with daytime highs only in the single digits (actually most of northern Penobscot county and Aroostook county never broke zero today.)
Not much changing over the next few days-expect a fair amount of sunshine with very cold temperatures through Friday. An area of low pressure will track to our south Saturday; right now it appears the low will track too far to our south-so I don't think anyone will be doing any shoveling Friday night into Saturday. We will keep an eye on that low to let you know if indications change, bringing the low on a more northerly track (which would mean snow for us.)
Temperatures will moderate this weekend into the new work-week, reaching the teens and twenties Saturday and Sunday, with highs near 30 on Monday. Something to look forward to!
