An ocean storm will pass to the east tonight and intensify Monday resulting in gusty winds. These NW winds will help to usher in some colder temps. Overall our weather pattern for the start of the week is looking pretty quiet. Just the chance of snow showers on Wednesday. My focus for the next potential storm is on Friday. Some plowable snow could be heading our way.

Tonight - More clouds along the coast with some snow showers. Partly cloudy skies inland. Overnight lows will mostly be in the teens.

Monday - A nice looking day, but it will be windy and cold. A mix of sun and clouds with some snow showers in the mountains. West winds pick up to 15-20mph and gusts could get up to 35mph. (Especially in far eastern Maine) Colder air will really be noticeable Monday night along with subzero wind chill values.

Extended Forecast - Tuesday looks to be the coldest day of the week. We start out the day with subzero wind chills. Then highs only warm to around 20. The mountains only top out with single digits. On the plus side...skies will be nice and sunny. Temperatures warm up to seasonable conditions on Wednesday. There will be more clouds in place with the chance of snow showers. Increasing clouds Thursday. Next chance of some plowable snow heads our way Friday. With temps warming slightly above freezing at the coast we could see the change to rain. We will keep you updated through the week on the track of this storm.
